Detailed product description
Chia seeds are the tiny seeds of the Salvia hispanica plant. They are a significant source of protein, omega-3 fatty acids and, above all, fibre. They contain a range of antioxidants and minerals – calcium, iron, zinc, potassium, magnesium and phosphorus. A distinctive feature of these seeds is their excellent ability to absorb water.

Usage:
They are eaten as an ingredient in all sorts of dishes and drinks. Chia seeds are not hard to chew like linseeds (it is not necessary to use them ground – when they come into contact with liquids, yoghurt or gastric juices, they absorb the liquid, gel and are no longer hard), they do not affect the flavour of dishes (they have no aftertaste), making them a highly versatile ingredient in a wide range of dishes and drinks. When used in baking (ideal for bread, biscuits, etc.), they soften the consistency of the dough and make it more moist
