Hemp seeds consist of approximately 25 per cent protein, 31 per cent fat and 34 per cent carbohydrates. They contain 20 amino acids, including 8 essential amino acids, which the human body cannot produce on its own under normal conditions. Vitamins and minerals present include vitamin A, B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B6), C, E, F, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, zinc, iodine, chromium, silver, lithium, sulphur and others. Regular consumption of hemp seeds strengthens the nervous system, regulates blood cholesterol levels, helps prevent inflammation, helps prevent heart disease, cancer, kidney problems, skin conditions, hair and nail problems, and flaky skin; it also provides relief from premenstrual syndrome and helps significantly boost the immune system.
