Kala Namak
black salt with minerals is a natural volcanic salt with a distinctive sulphurous taste and aroma (reminiscent of eggs). It contains many important minerals essential for the human body, which were once part of the primordial sea and remain of immense importance to the human organism today. It is mined in the volcanic regions of the Himalayas in Pakistan.
According to Ayurvedic principles, this salt aids digestion and bowel cleansing, and helps with bloating and heartburn. It also helps to break down phlegm during a cold and can be used in the bath, as it is beneficial for the joints.
