Detailed product description
Rice-shaped
Shirataki noodles contain almost no calories and are free from fat, sugars, protein and gluten. The fibre found in the product contains trace amounts of carbohydrates in the form of glucomannan, which is almost indigestible by the human body. Only a negligible amount is digested in the small intestine, which is why the energy value of shirataki noodles is just 8 kcal per 100 g.
Shirataki is soaked in a liquid with a distinctive odour, which disappears completely when rinsed under cold running water and is not noticeable at all in the finished dish. Shirataki FIT has no taste or smell of its own – it takes on the flavour and aroma of the sauce, soup or other ingredients in the dish with which it is mixed. It
is made from the root of a plant called Amorphophallus konjac, which is grown in various parts of Asia. Konjac contains glucomannan, a substance that aids fat burning and weight control. Among other things, it regulates blood sugar and lowers blood cholesterol. This makes konjac an ideal food for weight management and the prevention of obesity.
Konjac products are not only very healthy, as they are rich in fibre, but also very diet-friendly, as they contain absolutely no fat or carbohydrates and are, moreover, gluten-free and starch-free. They help to lower cholesterol, regulate blood sugar levels and aid weight loss. A major advantage of this pasta is that no matter how much you eat, you won’t put on weight!
Konjac pasta is suitable as part of a healthy diet, for weight management (weight loss), for low-carb eating, for vegans, diabetics, people with high cholesterol, and for those with an intolerance to wheat, gluten, lactose or soya.
Shirataki pasta is suitable for all phases of the Dukan Diet! Package
